Present professional position and workplace:
Since 2010 I work in the Zaans Medical Center in Zaandam, the Netherlands as an internist-nephrologist.  Before 2010 I worked for  two years as a transplant nephrologist in the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. My daily activities constist of the care for patients with chronic kidney diseases in different stages: chronic kidney disease, stage III, IV at the outpatient clinic, patients with end-stage renal disease (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) and patients who received a kidney transplant. To prevent patients from severe chronic kidney disease a national transmural program has been implemented in our hospital.
